    Why get ahead now

Being ahead is a compounding advantage.

Maths is cumulative, so a gap does not stay the size it started. A student who is fluent when a topic arrives in class spends that lesson consolidating; a student who is not spends it catching up, and then meets the next topic already behind. Ten weeks above year level changes which of those two your child is.

    • Meet the topic in class already fluent, not for the first time
    • Spend school lessons consolidating instead of catching up
    • Reach the Year 10 subject choice with it still open

Illustrative - how Maths readiness compounds when students get ahead early.

Why Maths, and where it leads

    One subject. Three senior pathways.

We go deep on one subject because Maths compounds harder than anything else into Year 11 and 12. Methods and Specialist in Victoria and Queensland, Advanced and Extension in New South Wales, and the maths-heavy sciences in all three stand on the same algebra. Here is what it opens in each state.

    The Victorian pathway

    VCE Methods & Specialist

In Victoria these are the two highest-scaling Maths subjects. A study score is scaled by the subject it came from, so the same raw score is worth far more out of Specialist or Methods than out of General.

    All three states

What senior Maths is called where you are

Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland all build Years 7 to 10 Maths on the same Australian Curriculum, so the content is the same in all three. Only the senior subject names change, and a parent searching for the wrong one finds nothing, so here they are.

    • VCEVictoria

      Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics

    • HSCNew South Wales

Mathematics Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2

    • QCEQueensland

      Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics

Scaling works differently outside Victoria, so there is no equivalent of the Victorian scaling table. What carries across is the content, and the content is the same.

10 weeks, two cohorts, Term 4 2026, starting the week of 6 October.

    AI + data

    We don't guess. We measure.

Two assessments in ten weeks, and both are analysed rather than just marked. EduVerse's system breaks each student, and the whole cohort, down to the topic and question level. So teaching targets what the numbers say needs work.

    • AI finds the gaps

The week 5 quiz and the final exam are broken down to the topic and question level, even flagging mis-keyed or confusing questions.

    • Data targets the teaching

Tutors start each week knowing exactly what to reteach and who needs help, so class time hits real weaknesses.

    • Progress you can see

Clear reports track your child's movement across the ten weeks, topic by topic, so the head start is measured rather than assumed.

Queensland classes sit one hour earlier in local time, because Queensland does not observe daylight saving. The course runs entirely inside daylight saving (Term 4 2026, starting the week of 6 October), so that offset holds for all 10 weeks and nothing shifts mid-course.

    Getting started

    Three steps to week one.

    012 minutes

    Pick the cohort and book

Two minutes. Tell us your child's year level and we match them to Tiro (Year 6/7) or Provectus (Year 8/9), then to the class night that fits your week.

    02Before week one

    We set the starting point

Your child sits a free assessment for their own cohort at home: 25 questions in 25 minutes for Tiro (Year 6/7), 30 in 25 for Provectus (Year 8/9). It comes back marked with worked solutions, so week one aims at the right gaps.

    0310 weeks

Ten weeks, ending with the exam

Your child joins their group's class night and the course runs its published plan: ten teaching weeks, a quiz at week 5, and the exam alongside the final topic in week 10.

    Your questions.

Two cohorts, taught as two separate courses. Tiro (Year 6/7) is for current Year 6s and Year 7s and runs Australian Curriculum Years 7-8 content. Provectus (Year 8/9) is for current Year 8s and Year 9s and runs Years 9-10 content. They have different topic lists, and a student sits in the cohort that matches where they actually are in the curriculum.

Because it is one school term, and it is long enough to move a student a real distance without asking a family to commit indefinitely. The plan is published up front: ten teaching weeks, a 25 minute progress quiz at week 5, and a full exam in week 10. You know on the day you enrol what is being taught in every week and how it gets measured.

Tiro (Year 6/7) covers integers and order of operations, factors and primes, the four operations with fractions, decimals and percentages, percentage applications, ratio and rates, then the turn into algebra: substitution, like terms, expanding, factorising, solving linear equations, and the Cartesian plane and linear patterns. Provectus (Year 8/9) covers multi-step linear equations, inequalities and y = mx + c, coordinate geometry, simultaneous equations by substitution, elimination and graphing, expanding and factorising, monic and non-monic trinomials, quadratic equations by the null factor law, and sketching parabolas. The full week-by-week list for both is on this page.

The progress quiz is 25 minutes and runs inside the week 5 class. It opens the class and covers Weeks 1 to 4, and exists to show what has landed while there are still five weeks left to fix anything. The final exam runs inside the week 10 class, covers Weeks 1 to 9, and comes back marked with worked solutions and a written report. Both are analysed to the topic level, so a gap gets named and retaught rather than noted.

Years 7 to 10 Maths is built on the Australian Curriculum in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, so the content a student needs in Brisbane is the content a student needs in Melbourne or Sydney. What each course teaches is that curriculum, taken ahead of the school timetable, and it is the algebra senior Maths opens on in all three: Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics under the VCE and the QCE, and Mathematics Advanced and Extension under the HSC. To be straight with you: our tutors and every student we have taught so far are Victorian, so we make no claims about results in New South Wales or Queensland. What we can tell you is what the syllabus contains, and it contains this.

Live every week on Zoom, in small groups. Tiro (Year 6/7) runs in one of two small groups: Saturday 10:30am to 12:00pm VIC and NSW, 9:30am to 11:00am QLD; or Sunday 6:30pm to 8:00pm VIC and NSW, 5:30pm to 7:00pm QLD. Provectus (Year 8/9) runs in one of two small groups: Tuesday 7:00pm to 8:30pm VIC and NSW, 6:00pm to 7:30pm QLD; or Friday 6:30pm to 8:00pm VIC and NSW, 5:30pm to 7:00pm QLD. Queensland does not observe daylight saving, so a Brisbane class sits one hour earlier in local time than a Melbourne or Sydney one. The course runs entirely inside daylight saving (Term 4 2026, starting the week of 6 October), which means that offset is the same for all ten weeks and nothing shifts mid-course. Optional 1:1 sessions can be booked whenever your child needs extra help.

Yes, and each cohort sits its own. Tiro (Year 6/7) is 25 questions in 25 minutes on number work: integers, factors, fractions, percentages, ratio and the first steps into algebra. Provectus (Year 8/9) is 30 questions in 25 minutes on Years 9-10 algebra. Both are sat at home and both come back as a marked report with worked solutions showing exactly which topics your child is missing. They are deliberately different papers: handing a Year 6 an assessment written for Year 9s would produce a score that measures nothing.

Fastrack stops at Year 9. Year 10 is where senior school effectively begins, so a Year 10 student is better served by our VCE programs than by an accelerated Year 9 course, and we will say so rather than sell you this one. Below Year 6, get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether to wait.

School covers the year level your child is in, at the pace of the middle of the class. Fastrack teaches above year level, in a cohort matched to your child, in small groups with 1:1 support, and measures it twice in ten weeks. The aim is that your child meets this content again at school already fluent in it.

Maths is the subject that compounds the most into Year 11 and 12. Methods and Specialist under the VCE and the QCE, Mathematics Advanced and Extension under the HSC, and the maths-heavy sciences alongside them, all build on it. Rather than spreading thin across subjects, we go deep on the one that carries the most forward.

Tutors who finished in the top 1% of the state for Maths, including perfect and near-perfect senior Maths scores. Their results were sat under the VCE and we say so plainly rather than implying an interstate tutor, but VCE, HSC and QCE senior Maths all open on the same Years 9-10 algebra, so the ground they cover is the same either way.

Pricing is shared at your free consultation, tailored to the cohort and the level of support your child needs. There is no lock-in and no ongoing subscription: the course is ten weeks.

Yes. You get the marked week 5 quiz report, the week 10 exam report with worked solutions, and parent check-ins across the term, so you are never guessing how your child is tracking.
